Position Overview
The Sustainability Associate position at OnePointFive provides current undergraduate or recent graduate students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability project execution across climate technology, finance, and services. Responsibilities include summarizing and synthesizing findings from stakeholder interviews and industry research, performing data analysis, supporting development of both customer deliverables and sales decks and proposals, helping to improve operational processes and knowledge management for enhanced project execution, and collaborating with project teams, as well as contributing to organizational culture and development.
Responsibilities
Support the execution and delivery of sustainability project work as required across climate technology, finance, services, and training offerings
Analyze data and preparing initial deliverables to contribute to the completion of an engagement
Support internal company-facing projects, including contributing to building the organizational culture and leadership development
Develop insights and recommendations via conducting stakeholder & expert interviews, company & industry research to support the development of customer deliverables and internal briefings
Summarize and synthesize project and research findings to present back to the OnePointFive team and client in a clear and understandable way
Develop case studies for our project engagements, and complementary article and content posts for marketing purposes
Support the development and productization of our climate services, technology, finance, and training offerings, and associated knowledge sharing
Support business development efforts with potential and existing customers, including sales decks and proposal research, writing and development
Contribute to the improvement of operational processes and systems for our internal knowledge management, team / expert recruiting and project execution
Qualifications
Rising undergraduate junior or senior, or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree
0-2 years of work experience, we are particularly interested in experience in these areas (although open to others): climate finance & investing, government financing programs, consumer goods, and manufacturing
Strong passion for climate change
Demonstrated ability to summarize and synthesize project findings, conduct research, and develop valuable insights for customer deliverables
Strong analytical skills for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive business insights.
Familiarity with and understanding of the sustainability industry
Proactive involvement in improving operational processes and knowledge management to enhance overall efficiency
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working within project teams
Ability to adapt to multifaceted project engagements, supporting both customer projects and internal company initiatives
Working Hours
Full-Time: 40 hours per week, working hybrid in New York (in-person and remotely)
Compensation
The maximum stipend for this position is $6,800. Candidates have the possibility to secure additional compensation through grant or internship funding. We are happy to provide any necessary documentation to support their applications.
